On February 22 in 2022 Russia escalated its war on Ukraine, sending Ukrainians worldwide into a frenzy and into ACTION! UMANA and the Ohio Chapter of UMANA immediately pivoted and organized mass shipments of medical aid to Ukraine.

UMANA OHIO CHAPTER SENDS MORE AMBULANCES
UMANA Ohio Chapter purchased two used ambulances from Donald and Sons and packed them with four pallets of trauma and first responder supplies and provided four pallets of supplies and gear. They were shipped though the Port of Cleveland to Belgium to our partners who delivered them to designated areas in war torn Ukraine.
UMANA OHIO CHAPTER PACKS AMBULANCES WITH MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE
Mr. Hans Bloom (second from the right) from the St. Josaphat Cathedral parish community raised funds and purchased two used ambulances from Donald and Sons (owners on the left). Hans enlisted UMANA Ohio to assist in obtaining and packing the ambulances with trauma and first responder supplies and provided four pallets of supplies.
UMANA OHIO CHAPTER SENDS 21 PALLETS OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE
On March 19, 2022, a call to action was answered by over 100 volunteers who gathered at Medwish International and packed over 21 pallets of medical supplies. They were sent to Ukraine by sea and received by organizations in Belgium, Poland and Ukraine who distributed to sites in need. Other smaller packing events soon followed.
